Ladder 61 is a 2000 American LaFrance rear mount “quint” ladder truck. The unit is equipped with a 100-foot LTI main ladder (750 lb tip load) and 117 feet of ground ladders. This truck also has a 1500 gpm pump, 350 gallon tank, 700 feet of 1½” hose, 300 feet of 2½” hose, and 600 feet of 5” supply hose. The truck has a pre-piped ladder with a master stream device located at the tip of the ladder, as well as a second master stream device located above the pump panel on the officers side of the truck. The unit carries a variety of forcible entry hand tools, an oxy-acetylene torch, chain saw, K12 circular saw, generator, and complete scene lighting package. The truck responds to all structure fires in our coverage area, and is also responds on the initial assignment for structure fires in Shoemakersville Borough, Perry Township, Upper Bern Township, and Center Township.
